The Process
When you purchase one of these prints, the first names of the family or friends that you specify will be hand written by Mark into the lines of the hand of Jesus on the print. Mark writes the names as if they were actually "engraved" or carved into the flesh of Jesus. When viewed from several feet away, the names blend into the picture and aren't easily seen,

but as the viewer comes closer, the names stand out clearly.

The high quality of the paper used in the print allows Mark to write the names after the print has been made.
The original drawing was done with charcoal on a lightweight linen paper. The original was then photographed and digitally sized and adjusted. For the two larger sizes the image was then printed on a Giclee printer using 140 lb acid free archival German etching paper. The 11x17 and smaller prints are printed using an ultra stream printer on 80 lb acid free Soho paper.

These prints are signed and dated by the artist, but are not numbered, since each print is made personal and unique by the names. Also, numbering is unnecessary, as the value of this print is a sentimental value only to the family to which it belongs. It is not meant for resale or investment, unless that investment is eternal.
The Giclee printing is done at DOUBLE TAKE Artistic Images in Lakewood, Colorado, and the smaller prints are printed  at Colorline in Denver.  They are experts in printing fine art.

A note from the artist, Mark Hollenbeck:

It is my desire to use any abilities God has given me to glorify Him.  In my daily life, I don't often feel like I have done that. However, each time I produce an artwork or write the names on one of the prints, I am encouraged and blessed; not because I have done anything special, but because I am reminded of the amazing grace of God and His free gift of Jesus to all of us.

In 1 Jn. 3:1 Gods Word says, "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!"

And what a sacrifice Jesus made so that could be possible. When you see your own name written on the hand of the crucified Jesus, I pray that it will remind you of the precious price He paid so that you could live. I am thankful for brothers and sisters like you whom I will one day meet in heaven.

To God be all the glory!
